All Over

My experience in Leeds is something that I will never forget. The time I was there and the people that I met really helped my grow into the person that I presently am. I may not seem different, but I feel different. I feel that traveling to an unfamiliar place not knowing anyone really helps you grasp hold of the person you really are as an individual. Everyone should get a chance to experience this, but it is unfortunate that most will not due to the fact that everything is based on money. Everyone is not capable of affording an amazing experience as this, but I am totally grateful that I was able to. If it was not for my parents I have no idea what I would have done. I truly appreciate them letting me study abroad for a semester. As for the people that I met there, some I will probably never see again which is very sad because they are amazing and we had some amazing times together. Others I know that I will see again and will be life long friends with! I will never forget anyone and everyone will always be in my memories. It seems unreal to me, but I am so glad that I got to take this opportunity. If I am able to afford a trip back to Leeds I am most certainly going to go back and see everyone that made my time there unforgettable. Thank you!

DaY 132

I woke up around nine this morning feeling very well rested. It felt so good to finally sleep in my own bed! My family was coming over for a BBQ today so I was just going to hang around the house for most of the day. I helped my mom with preparing things in the kitchen. Aunt Maria, Uncle Mike, and Richie were the first to arrive. Well actually, Grandma and Grandpa were, but I they were at my house yesterday and spent the night. Then Aunt Louisa, Uncle Ed, and Corrine came. It was really nice to see everyone. Of course everyone wanted to hear stories about my time. I wound up telling the same stories over and over again, but I don’t mind telling them at all. Another popular question that everyone loves to ask me is always about the guys. Everyone always seems to be interested to know if I have met an English boy. I love seeing their faces when my response is no. It makes me laugh.  After dinner I had a missed call from Dawn. I went inside, sat on the couch and called her back. After I got off, I lie down and fell asleep for about a half hour. Obviously that was jet lag at its best. I woke up around 9:30pm and then got ready to head over to Dana’s house as she was throwing a party for Memorial Day weekend. By the time I got there everyone was wasted. I finally got to see Dawn and the rest of the gang. I spent some time over there and then I headed home around 12:30. When I got home, my mom and brother were still up, as they were waiting for my luggage. The guy called earlier that day saying that it would arrive between 11 and 1. I woke up the next morning to find my luggage in the hallway, which I was so excited about, but I later found out that it did not arrive until 5 in the morning. Luckily Keith heard the doorbell and got it. Talk about not delivering in the time frame you originally said. After I ate breakfast, I started unpacking my luggage. I was excited to give everyone their gifts. I opened the second front pouch, but there was nothing in it. I was pretty sure that I packed things in there, but I figured I had mistaken myself. After everything was unpacked and scattered around my room I realized that I didn’t have everything. Turns out I was missing two pairs of shoes. I knew I packed something in that front pouch! Now, I am just ticked off because the one pair were a nice pair of heels that the twins bought for me from Bulgaria and the other pair were the heels that I bought for Kim. I was so excited to show of my shoes and give Kim hers and now I couldn’t. The thing that bothered me the most was that I knew that I was not going to be able tot get them back. I spent half my morning on the phone with representatives and on the computer. Now I had to print out a form, fill it out and then fax/mail it over to the airline. I will get reimbursed for the shoes, but I don’t know how much, as that is there decision based on my filed report. Needless to say I have been home for about two and a half weeks and I have not heard anything back yet. Besides the shoes missing everything else was there and everyone loved their gifts.

Day 131

TODAY IS THE DAY!!!!!! I am so excited! I woke up around 6:45 to make sure that I would be up and ready. Richard, Melody and Pierre had just arrived home from Amsterdam and we were all going to get breakfast, but there would not be enough time for that so we all just hung out in the twins flat. Emily, Philip, and Ben soon came over as well. Emily had made a slideshow of the time she had been there and showed it to us. It was so nice. I rang a taxi around eight and it literally showed up within seconds. That was the fastest Amber taxi has ever arrived. Everyone helped me with my luggage and then it was time for goodbyes. There were not that many tears, but I was surprised to hear that Philip was quite upset when I said goodbye to him. I was not expecting that. As I said goodbye to the twins they were crying a bit, but I know I will see them soon. I said goodbye to Brian last, as everything started with him anyway. I got in the taxi and watched everyone wave to me as the taxi drove off. I was not that upset, but when the thought began to sink in that I was actually leaving I began to get al watery eyed, but I didn’t cry because I don’t like crying in public. When I arrived at the airport I went over to check-in, which was quite a big line. When I got to the counter I checked my bags and had my two carrions. I didn’t think it would be a problem because that is exactly how I traveled over here, but apparently Leeds Bradford Airport only allows one carry on to every customer, so I had to check one. My backpack had my computer and all my other belongings I needed to get through the airport and my other bag had all my souvenirs and breakables in it. I checked the one with all my souvenirs because there was no way I was checking my computer and such. I was really worried, because I know how the airport personnel handle luggage. The guy was really nice and put all these fragile stickers on my bag and then told me where I could bring it so that it was actually handled with care. He also put a sticker on my bag saying that it was to be picked up planeside after the first flight. I was happy about that. After I checked everything in I went through security and then found a seat to wait for my flight. I was holding back tears while waiting, but I tried to keep busy by playing Sudoku. That did not really work so well, so I just people watched. When it was about ten the gate was available and I went over to board the plane. The flight was only about an hour to Amsterdam. Of course I slept the whole flight. Once the plane landed I got my carry on, picked up my other carry on planeside and then headed towards my gate. It was nice that I was in this airport just a few days ago because now I knew where I was going. I headed over to my gate, went through security once again and then waited for the flight to board. My layover was only two hours, which was not bad at all. At around 1:30 boarding had started. This plane was a lot bigger than the one that I was last on and there were a lot of people to board. We boarded by seat number so it was pretty organized. I was in seat 36D, which was middle row but I had an isle seat. I was really glad I had an isle seat. The girls I sat next to were from Russia so it was not so bad. The plane was late departing, but that was not a big deal. The only thing that got on my nerve sometimes was the guy who sat behind me. He was as tall as Keith and had long legs, which meant that they were stretched out completely under my seat so when I went to put my feet back I would always hit his feet or when my feet were back and he went to stretch out he would hit my feet. It was a bit annoying, but it could have been worse so I dealt with it. I slept for about the first hour and then I did not sleep the rest of the flight. When I woke up the attendants were coming around with drinks and a snack. It looked like peanuts, but they were smoked almonds, which were delicious. After that they handed warm towelettes right before our main meal. We had a bit of turbulence at one point and had to secure our seatbelts. Of course I was in the bathroom when it started to happen. Thank god I was exiting the bathroom and heading back to my seat at that point. After the ended the attendants came around with our next meal. For dinner or lunch or whatever meal it was at this point, I had a choice of pasta in a spinach sauce or salmon. Of course I chose the pasta. It came with this potato salad, which was not so good so I left that after a couple of bites. Then I moved on to the pasta and bread. The pasta was little shell shaped noodles covered in spinach sauce. Then for dessert I had these mini cream puffs that were drizzled with chocolate. It was quite delicious for plane food. To keep myself occupied on the plane ride, I updated my blog, as I was behind about two weeks. I also watched a movie called Sherlock Holmes. I enjoyed that. During the movie the flight attendants came around with little things of ice cream. It was some sort of toffee nut and caramel flavored ice cream. I could not really figure out what it exactly was, but it was tasty. Once I finished that I returned to watching my movie. After my movie ended the attendants were coming around with another snack. You had a choice of an English muffin size pizza or a slice of pecan pie. I chose the pizza, which was not the best, but it was edible. After that everyone had to fill out custom cards. Mine was pretty easy because I was a citizen returning to my home country, but it was a bit more complicated for the two girls next to me. They had to fill out these two forms and were a little lost as to how to do it. I asked them if they needed help, but they said they were ok so I let them be. Even the guy behind me asked me what something meant. Towards the end of the flight I was getting very anxious and antsy. There was about forty minutes left to go and I could not do anything but wait. The television was turned off and all electronics had to be put away. Those forty minutes were so long! We finally landed and I was so excited. I was so close to getting to see my parents! Little did I know it was going to take about another two hours until I actually got to see them.  Once everyone filed off the plane I got my things and headed to immigration and al that jazz. I loved how I got to go on the shorter line this time, as I am a citizen. I got through that line in about ten minutes which was not bad. Now all I had to do was collect my luggage. I got my first piece of luggage within the first ten minutes of standing there. Then I waited for about another half hour. At this point there was no more luggage coming down onto the belt and there was so much luggage going around, but of course mine was not there. I must say I was not the only one with missing luggage. I went over to this lady to ask what I do if I am missing a piece of luggage. She had this list of names and of course my name was on it. I had no idea what the list was for and was worried that something was wrong with my luggage. It turns out that my luggage didn’t make the flight and was on the next one. Figures. So now I had to file a report with the lady about my luggage. She told me that she would call later in the day with a reference number and I that I should be receiving my luggage tomorrow. I mean it was no big deal because I really didn’t need anything from that piece of luggage. I mean all it had was all my gifts for everyone and my clothes! I still had clothes back at home, but I wanted to wear some new clothes. Anyway, after that was all filled out I got myself excited to finally see my mom and dad for the first time in four months! I walked through the doors and around the wall to see all these people standing there waiting for their family members. I scanned the area for my parents, as it would be easy to spot a shiny baldhead, but to my disappointment there was no one there. I had always pictured this moment in my head and it went the total opposite of how I thought it was going to go. I always imagined me walking out and seeing my parents standing there with a sign saying welcome home and then tears would have been shed as we embrace each other in a big hug. Well, that didn’t happen. At this point I am just highly annoyed, aggravated, and upset, and to make things worse my phone had no battery. I have no idea how that happened because I never turned it on while I was overseas! So, I go to find a plug to charge my phone and see if my parents called me. I am standing at a corner in the airport all by myself, with my luggage charging my phone. Sure enough I have a message from my mom. I didn’t even bother to listen to it and I just called her cell. She picked up and I asked her where she was in a bit of an attitude and she said they were waiting for me to come out. She said look towards the back and you will see two balloons. Of course now, my vision would have worked, but it was too late. I told her I already walked out and I was over by a corner charging my phone. I directed her toward me. I saw the two balloons traveling through the crowd before I actually saw my mom and dad. When I saw them, I left my entire luggage and just started walking towards them. We all just began to cry and then we all embraced in a big hug and just cried in the middle of the airport. It was so nice to finally physically see my parents! It was not how I envisioned it, but it was still a great feeling. After that, I filled my parents in on what had happened with my luggage and then we headed towards the car and headed home. It was not that weird driving on the correct side of the road again, but I did forget how crazy New York drivers were. I mean Englanders are crazy drivers, but nowhere near to how crazy New Yorkers are. When we arrived home I went inside and say my little puppy. I missed him so much! He is so luscious. After saying hello to my puppy, I began to unpack my things. Keith arrived home first and then Cheryl came home. It was so nice to see both of them! I had dinner with everyone that night and then I got ready to go over to Ciano’s as she was having people over her house since she was home for the weekend. I first picked up Stack and then we picked up Michael and then we went to Ciano’s. I got to see Bogen, Erin, Melissa and some of the guys, which was really nice. I was really tired around ten but I knew I to try and stay up. I stayed up until about 12:30 and then headed home to bed as I was falling asleep on Ciano’s couch. It was a long day of traveling and jet lag has started to kick in, but I am so glad to finally be home!

Day 130

Tomorrow I go home!!!!!!!!! I am so excited! I have been talking about this day for the past week! It is bittersweet leaving, but I am so ready to go home. Of course the fire alarm woke me up at 9:30, but it is the last time that it will happen. I was too excited to go back to sleep, so I had some breakfast. Steph rang me about ten minutes after I was up to have some tea. She came up and we chatted over some tea. She then left to get a quick nap before she headed back to York for work. After she left I was in my room getting ready to head into town, but I wound up talking to a friend from home for about an hour. He had just gotten in from being out all night. Time differences are strange. Here I am starting my morning and he is just ending his night. After we chatted for about an hour I headed into town to get some last minute things. I got Dad a shirt and some clothes for myself at Primark. I also picked up some England candy to take home with me. When I got back to my flat Steph stopped by to say goodbye, as this was the last time we would be seeing each other for a while. After Steph left I began to pack my stuff up. After doing that for a while I went downstairs for a break and to hang out with Marieta before she left for work. After she left for work I went back upstairs to shower and continue packing. Then I went downstairs to have dinner one last time with Brian and Valentina. We had tacos. After dinner I went upstairs and put the rest of my things in the suitcases. Once I was officially done packing we went to the shop, picked up some beers and then started to drink and play beer pong in the kitchen. Ash had all his DJ stuff set up as well. It was nothing big, but it was nice to hang out with everyone for one last time. Luke had already left for home earlier, which was upsetting, but we said out goodbye earlier. It was sad saying goodbye to Luke, as he was always there for me whenever I needed him. While we were drinking with everyone Brian had to get his camera out of my room. I tossed him my keys to unlock my door, but he came back in the kitchen saying that it was not working. It turns out that my lock was acting up again as it did one other time. It would beep green, but it would not open. At this point it is eleven at night on a Friday. All my luggage is in my room and my flight is tomorrow! If I can’t get into my room I am so screwed. Of course I had no more money left on my phone so I could not call UPP. Luckily Ash and Brian let me use their phones to phone UPP. At first I could not get in touch with them but after about a half hour, I called again and got them. They arrived about twenty minutes later and I got let into my room. He could not fix the lock so he just told me to leave the dead bolt on so that it would not lock me out again. That is exactly what I did while I was in my flat. Before everyone left to go out and such, they all gave me a going away card. It was a big card and was signed by most of the people that I met while I was in Leeds. I was not expecting that at all and it was so nice of everyone to do that. I love that card so much! After everyone left my flat I took all my luggage downstairs to the twins since I was spending the night with them anyway and this way I would not have to worry about my door locking me out again. After everything was moved out of my flat I got ready for bed. Brian, Valentina and myself waited for Marieta to get home and once she did we all chatted for a bit and then fell asleep. I slept in the bed with Marieta and Brian and Valentina slept on the floor.

Day 129

We woke up at seven to get our stuff ready and head over to the train. On our walk over to the train this beggar came over to us and began asking Brian for money. He actually walked with us and continuously asked for money. He asked Brian for change multiple times, asked him to check is pockets and is wallet for chance. After Brian said no every time, the guy told Brian to find him change. Brian told him to find his own change. At this point Brian was getting really annoyed with the guy and kept asking him to leave him alone. The guy kept walking with us and kept asking for money. Brian kept saying I have no change. The guy then said, “Ok, give me five euro.” Brian said he needed it for the train and told the guy to leave him alone in a very angry voice. The guy then started walking with another guy walking in the opposite direction. That poor soul had no idea what was coming to him. After that whole fiasco, we got to the train station and caught the 7:40 train to the airport. At the airport we checked in, went through security, boarded the flight and were on our way back to Leeds. It was funny because our flight was at 9:30 and landed in Leeds at 9:45. You have to love the time differences. I slept the whole flight, as I was exhausted from the past two days. Getting back into England was a hassle. The guy asked me so many questions, such as “How long are you here for?” “Why are you here?” “What’s your purpose here for the last two days?” “When are you leaving?” “Where are you flying out from?” The girl before me was being detained, as the guy didn’t like how she was cooperating and answering her questions. Of course that was the same guy that I got. When we walked out of customs and everything and through the doors where everyone waits for their family members I got all excited, as in two days that would be me walking through the doors at JFK and seeing my family waiting for me! When I got back to my room I put laundry in down at the twins, as my machine was in use. I then had some cereal, took a shower and went for a nap. After my nap I got dressed for the night and then went downstairs to make pasta for everyone while they were getting ready to go out. The four of us went out to Oceana together one last time. After we got back I went over to Andy’s flat to hang out with him and Steph. Steph actually came from York for the night to see me before I left for home. After hanging out with them for a while I began to fall asleep and decided it was time to go to bed so I went over to mine and got some sleep.

Day 128

Today we got up early to get the day going. I had a shower before we left for the day. The showers were not as bad as other hostels, but it was still small and a hostel shower. We left the hostel around 10:30 and then got some breakfast. We got breakfast at this corner bakery. I wound up getting this breakfast sandwich. It was funny because Pierre who is French got a baguette for breakfast. That is such a French thing to do. Haha We then made our way to the floating flower market and looked around. After that Brian and Richard went to the Heineken factory while Melody, Pierre and myself did some shopping. We stopped to try some Dutch food along the way. We all got croquettes. It is basically this breaded “mystery” meat. We ate it with mustard and it was delicious. At around five we all met up at the hostel. We hung around there for a bit chatting with Richard’s, Melody’s, and Pierre’s roommates. They were in a room of eight including them. The roommates were from Texas and then two of them were from Ireland. They were cool to hang out with. Brian and myself were on the next floor up in a room of six including us. Our roommates wound up being from Leeds and actually went to the other University in Leeds, which we found weird. They were nice as well. After that the five of us headed out to go to the ice bar! We had to wear these special coats, gloves, and hats. Everything inside was made out of ice. The bar, the seats and even the glasses! It was so awesome. We were in there for about forty minutes, which was perfect because by that time I was pretty cold and ready to get warmed up. After that experience we headed back towards the hostel and went to a bar. We were all tired and were not really in the mood to drink, but it was our last night in Amsterdam, well at least for Brian and myself, and I was going to try Absinthe before I left. Everyone had a shot. It tasted like black licorice and burned on the way down. It was really nothing special. To me, it was just a shot of really high percentage liquor. There was no green fair either. Haha. After that we all went and walked around the Red Light District. It is completely different at night than during the day. At night with all the lights on the girls lingerie glow from the lights and plus, there are so many girls working. You walk down the street and there are these glass doors lining the street. One right next to the other on some streets and others spread out on other street. When no one is in the room, there is a red curtain that is down, but when there is a girl in the room the curtain is pulled back and you see a girl in really really skimpy lingerie behind the glass. Some girls just had underwear on and then these strap things that just covered their nipples. The girls would wink and tap the glass at the guys. If a guy was interested he would go up to the door and the girl would open it enough to tell him prices depending on what he wanted to do. Then if a guy accepted, he walked in the door and the curtain was pulled close. The Red Light District is something that I have never experienced before and is definitely one of a kind. I’m pretty sure my jaw was open the whole time while I was walking through it, as I was kind of taken back that this was actually real. It was something else. After walking around we headed back to the hostel and went to bed.

Day 127

My alarm went off at 4:30am and I got a call from Brian to make sure that I was up and getting ready. It was a rough morning as I was still a bit tipsy from the night before. We rang a taxi around 4:45 and headed over to the airport. I was exhausted! We checked in, went through security and then waited to board our flight. Once on the flight I immediately fell asleep and slept the whole flight. It was only a forty-five minute flight. We arrived at the Schiphol airport in Amsterdam around ten and got some maps to figure out where we were going. This is a huge airport. We had a bit to eat and then bought our train tickets to get to our hostel. It took us a while to figure out which platform we had to be on and which train we had to take as most things were in Dutch. We were on the right platform at first but didn’t see the train we needed to take so I asked someone. They said we needed to take the number three. Now Brian thought this meant platform three, so we headed up and over one platform. While we were standing there a train arrives at the platform we were just one and says it is going to the city center, which is where we needed to go. I tapped Brian and pointed over to the train. He gave me an “oh” and then we ran up, over and down to catch the train. We made it. The train ride was so nice and quite. It was a double decker train and it rode so smoothly. They were nothing like the trains and subways in New York with all the squeaks and noises. It was about a fifteen-minute train ride. When we got of we headed outside and looked at the map to figure out where we were going. We found our hostel and checked in. We were on the third floor, which was fine, but the stairs were so vertical and narrow it was a bit scary. When we got into our room all the beds were slept in and Brian and I were so confused. We asked someone if the sheets would be changed and they said yes. So we put down our things and walked around for a bit. We then went back to the train station to meet up with Melody, Richard, and Pierre to show them back to the hostel. Pierre and Melody took quick showers and then the five of us went on a free three hour walking tour at 1:15. It was nice and sunny out so the tour was enjoyable. Nothing like the one we went on in Paris, where I was freezing my butt of and could not concentrate on what the guide was saying at all. On the tour we found out why the stairs are so vertical. Due to the marshy land that the buildings are built on in Amsterdam they figured that leaning the buildings slightly forward would help form the buildings sinking. You could also see that most of the buildings were crooked and lopsided from this. OH, on the tour I totally knew someone. His name is Harry White and he used to hang out with my roommate freshman year at Purchase. I only knew him through her so I didn’t say hi or anything, but it was certainly him. I just found it so weird that out of all the places in the world and all the tours he was there and on that tour. Crazy. The tour ended around 4:15 and then we headed back to the hostel to have a quick nap. We all met downstairs at 6:30 and then headed out to do some more siteseeing. We went to a coffee shop and then to a couple of pubs. It was a bit of an early night as we were all still tired from traveling.

Day 126

Happy Birthday to my Dad! I sent him a birthday card via e-mail. He really appreciated it. I wish could have been there to celebrate his birthday with him as well.
Today I got up early, as I had to get some things done in town before I leave for Amsterdam tomorrow! I was up around 9:30 and got my stuff ready for the gym. I stopped by the bank to get some traveling money and then went over to the Car Phone Warehouse to top-up my phone. The least amount I could put on was five pounds and for the last couple of days I will be in Leeds was not really worth it to me, so I just left it. I can handle not being able to call or text anyone for a week. Although it was nice because people could still call me. After that I went to the gym and then over to the library to print off out boarding passes. Of course I needed Brian and my passport and didn’t have them with me so I had to go back to the library later on. After that I headed back to my flat had some lunch and then the four of us went to the park. It was nice out, but a bit chilly with the wind and clouds. Some other people from Woodhouse showed up and hung out with us. I wound up taking a little nap in the park. It was quite nice. After the park I went back to eat my leftover Chinese. After eating I headed back over to the library to print off our tickets for tomorrow. I had all the information this time so it was easy. Then I headed back to my room to shower and get ready to go out to Oceana with everyone. Before we headed out we played some beer pong. While we were at the club the duplicates almost got into a little tiff with some English girl. Marieta and myself were dancing on the dance floor by the DJ and Brian and Valentina were chatting at a table. Some girl went up to Marieta and said something to her. Of course Marieta had no idea what she said to her because the music is so loud, so we just ignored her and kept dancing. She came back again and said something else. This time she was a bit nasty. I could tell by her facial expression and Marieta was not happy. Then her friends started to come over and words were being exchanged. I got in the middle and said, “We are just trying to have a good time.” They backed off a bit, but once Marieta told Valentina what happened, that was it. Valentina stormed on the dance floor and started yelling at this girl. Now the twins are not troublemakers at all, but I learned from that night that if someone messes with one of them the other is going to be protective. They are very protective of each other, which is nice. Anyway, before anything could happen security made the girl leave the dance floor. She was not shy leaving as on her way out shit flipped the twins the finger. Later the three of us went to the toilet and I had a little chat with them. The girl was looking for trouble and wanted to wind up Marieta and Valentina, which she did. She wanted them to get all angry and in her face. I told them to knock it off and don’t let her get what she wants. They agreed and we went back on the dance floor to dance. Of course when the girl and her friends came back to dance they had to dance right by us. I kept my back to that group and had the twins in front of me so I could see them. One of the friends started to dance in my space and her back started pushing up against mine, but I did not budge. I completely ignored her and kept dancing. It turns out that the whole thing was over us being in their dancing space. It’s a free country and I am pretty sure we can dance where every we want on the dance floor. She was obviously just looking to start trouble. Besides that we had a fun night. I got upset when we left because I had to say my first goodbye. Granted I was a bit drunk and I was saying goodbye to the guy who I thought was a bit cute. I cried a bit on the taxi ride home as I didn’t realize how hard it was saying goodbye to just one person, I could not even imagine how it was going to be to say goodbye to everyone. By the time we got back and I got into bed it was around three in the morning and I had to be up in an hour to travel to Amsterdam.

Day 125

Happy Birthday to my best friend Emily Stack! It is upsetting that I am not around to celebrate the big 21 with her, but I am sure we will make up for it.
Another beautiful day out in Leeds. I woke up around eleven and then got ready to go to the park with everyone again. Today I busted out my bathing suit top because it was that nice out. I was not laying the proper way so me left side got redder than my right side. It was pretty funny and of course Brian and Marieta made fun of me for it. What else is new. Haha I love them both though. I got a shower in around four and then met up with Brian and Marieta to head to the airport and pick up Valentina! Today she was arriving back with her green card! Her flight landed around 5:30 and once she arrived we said our hellos and congrats and then got a taxi back to Woodhouse. The four of us got ready and then headed out to dinner and some drinks to celebrate. We went to some Chinese place for dinner, which was nice, and then when we went for drinks I was the only one who got asked for ID. It happens to me all the time, never fails. WE got back around eleven and then hung out in flat nine for a bit as Tatiana and Tony were headed back to the states tomorrow. I got make to my flat around midnight, got ready for bed, watched an episode of How I Met Your Mother and then went to sleep.

Day 124

Today was another beautiful day outside. A bunch of us lay outside in the park and got some sun. The guys played basketball and football and the girls just soaked up the rays. I got a bit of color.  When I went to go back to my room to shower I could not get into my room. My key was not working. It worked getting into the building and into my flat but when I tried it on my room it would just flash red and then green and not open. So I called UPP and it took them an hour to arrive. So I went over to Brian’s and hung out with him until I saw UPP arrive. The man let me into my room and then changed the battery in my door for the lock. It worked after that! A bunch of us planned to go to the Eldon at seven to watch a football match. It was a big game for our German friends. I wanted to shower before I went, but by the time UPP arrived and let me into my room there was no time. So I met up with Brian and then we headed over to the Eldon to meet everyone else ad watch the game. I was so tired that I started falling asleep at the pub watching the game. Of course Brian caught me and was getting his video ready on his camera. He loves catching those moments of me. I left at half time to shower and take a quick nap. I set my alarm for nine, but I wound up sleeping until eleven. I got woken up by Brian calling me and telling me to get outside and come drink with them. So I got dressed, grabbed my wine and went out back to play cards with some people. It was still so nice outside. By the time I got in and ready for bed it was about two in the morning.

Day 123

Today was really nice out. Marieta, Brian and myself went for a walk. Instead of walking into town we headed in the other direction towards Headingly campus and hit those little shops on the way. I wound up getting an England football shirt at a thrift shop. There is a little hole in the collar, but you can barely notice it. During our walk we stopped at a pub and grabbed a drink. Then on the walk back we stopped and got some food. While we were eating a whole bunch of people entered the pub all dressed up. They were all doing the Otley run. It was quite entertaining. We all had a good laugh. After lunch we took a taxi back as we were lazy to walk all that way back. When we got back I showered and then went outside to drink and hang out with everyone. They had a little tent set up and had music going and everything. It was really nice. After that I went out to Mint club with all my English mates since I have not been out with them in ever. It was a fun night. Of course I was the first one to leave. I can’t stay out until six and seven like they do. When I got back I just went to bed.

Day 122

Today I woke up and then went into town with Marieta. She needs to find an apartment for the summer so we stopped by the Unipol in town to see what they had available. Then we stopped by the bank and then headed over to the gym. After the gym I showered and then just hung around with Marieta and Brian. It was a pretty relaxing day.

Day 121

Today is the day of my last exam. I got up at seven and got ready to catch the bus over to Headingly. I got there around 8:40 and got settled in the exam area. The tested started at nine and was three hours long. Of course I stayed for the whole three hours. I had to answer four out of five questions, which does not seem that bad, but each question is worth 25 points. The first question was not so bad and my hopes began to rise, but after I turned the page and read the other questions I knew that Management Accounting 3 was going to win. I chose the questions that I thought I could get the most points on. I put down every little piece of work that I could in hopes that I will get more points. When noon came around the exam was over and I was officially done with Uni. It felt nice, but at the same time I was worried about the test that I had just taken. I took the bus back to my flat. When I got back I put some laundry in, showered and ate. After that I took about a three-hour nap until seven and then hung out with Marieta and Brian.

Day 120

I woke up during the middle of the night soaking wet. My shirt was drenched and even my sheets were wet. I was sweating everything out in my sleep. It was gross and I felt nasty, but there was nothing I could do about it. I went back to sleep, but not for long because I heard everyone come barging into the flat around 4:30am. They all went out and obviously came back to mine. What else is knew. Now, usually I don’t mind, but due to the fact that I was just getting over being sick and had a big exam the next day I was livid. The music was blaring in Luke’s room so he didn’t hear the phone ring or people knocking at the door. Of course I heard it all. At one point the people at the door just kept consistently knocking loudly until they were heard. I heard about the whole minute of knocking and was so angry that I had to get out of bed to answer the door, When I answered the door the guy was standing out there with drink in hand and all smiley, but that smile went away real quick when I answered the door. He got the look of death from me. Then one of the guys came out of the room and said hi to me and he got the death stare as well. I later heard them talking in the hall that I seemed really mad. They were quite right. After I got up and had breakfast I packed up my books and headed to the library, as I didn’t want to deal with my mates. I was in the library for about five hours studying. Marieta even came over to keep me company and read a magazine that she had wanted to read. After the library I went back to my flat, ate a little something and showered. Once I was decent I went downstairs to continue studying. I basically just sprawled my stuff out all over the twin’s kitchen table, Brian and Marieta went to the Eldon, as it was Tuesday. They tried to get me to go, but I had to get as much studying in as I could. After they left I took a twenty-minute nap and then got back to studying. At around one am I headed off to bed.

Day 119

Today I woke up feeling ok. Now, just so you now I planned to go to Amsterdam before I left for home on the 29th, but due to me being sick and just wanting to go home because all you want to do is be home when you are sick, Amsterdam was looking slim. I chatted with my mom and she said that I should just come home early and not go to Amsterdam. Of course my dad agreed as well. I was really considering that, but I knew that I would regret not going to Amsterdam. So instead of spending four days in Amsterdam I changed the return flight and now we would only be spending tow days there. After doing that I had some yogurt and then went back to sleep for about another hour. While I was sleeping UPP came in my room to check the window or something. I do not like that fact that they can just come in whenever. It was quite weird because I was just lying in my bed and they were doing their thing. They were only there for about a minute but still. After they left I got up and finally felt myself. I got dressed and did some revision for my exam on Wednesday, Now, I should have been studying for this exam the whole past week, but of course I was dying in bed and had no energy to focus on anything except for sleeping. I e-mailed my professor and she said that I could take the re-sit exam as my first exam, but I would have to take it at the same time that it started in England. So if the exam started in England at nine, I would have to be prepared to take it at four in the morning. Not only that but I would have to take it Purchase and it would be during the week of July 26th, which is the week right after my 21st birthday and that would be the last thing that I want to think about, so I decided to just take it on Wednesday. I ate some soup, procrastinated a little and then the fire alarm went off. I went over to Brian’s as I was just getting over being quite ill and did not want to stand out in the cold. After it stopped I went back to my room and tried to continue to study. I was highly unmotivated so it was hard, but I tried. After that I went to bed.

Day 118

I slept ok. I was still getting the chills and then would get hot. Marieta would keep checking on me throughout the night and kept making my washcloth colder to put on my forehead. When I got up I still felt horrible. I had to go to the bathroom and when I sat up on the bed everything stated to spin and I knew that was a sign of passing out so I lay back down for a bit until it passed. Since I was not getting better it was time to go back to the infirmary and get antibiotics. Not only was I not getting better, but also my throat was hurting and had big white spots all over my tonsils. So, Marieta, Brian and myself went back to the infirmary. I still had my bracelet on from last time we went. We waited for a while and then a doctor saw me. Turns out that I have tonsillitis. After finally getting some antibiotics we went back to our rooms. I took a shower and then just lay around.

Day 117

Last night was probably the worst night I have had in a while. I never get sick and I have been sick more times in England than I have back in the states. I woke up feeling ok but I still felt weak and was still hot and cold. We then went downstairs to Marieta’s room, as the temperature in her room was perfect for me. She then cooked me some soup and gave me some toast. I really had no appetite, but I knew I had to eat and Marieta made sure of that. Her knew nickname is Hitler. She was always on my case to eat the soup and finish the toast. It was a struggle and took me a while to eat about half a bowl of soup, but I am glad she made me eat. We watched She’s The Man and then Marieta had to go to work. I was not thrilled about being alone, but she called Brian and told him to come to her flat when he could. After Marieta left for work I just wound up falling asleep. When I was up Brian was knocking at the door, it was perfect timing. He was out playing basketball, but when he got the message he came right over. I was feeling somewhat better as I had some food in me, so Brian and I went for a walk. WE went for a walk in the graveyard. Brian thought it was funny because I looked liked death and we were walking around in the graveyard, always making jokes at my expense. Haha. It was pretty funny though. After our walk we watched the movie Smoking Aces and then watched a couple of episodes of How I Met Your Mother to pass the time until Marieta came home from work as we had her keys. Brian and I basically live in the twins flat. Marieta got back around 1:30am and then we all got some sleep.

Day 116

Today I woke up and still felt like crap. I was all achy and breathing really heavy. My lower back and neck where stiff as well. I have not felt myself for the past couple of days so I decided it was time to go to the GP. Marieta came with me as I felt I would not make it myself. Even though the GP was right in town I knew I could not make the walk so I rung a taxi. Sitting in the waiting room I looked pale and felt like death. I was all clammy and had the chills and was not breathing normal. When the GP saw me I had a 100 fever and my heart rate was 121. I was not too sure what the heart rate meant since I don’t really know what your normal heart rate should be, but the GP was quite worried about it. She also found some blood and something else in my urine. Needless to say she was worried about me and didn’t want to leave me stranded over the weekend so she sent me to the infirmary. They rung me a taxi and I went off to the infirmary. Marieta had to go to work so I was on my own. I arrived at the infirmary and walked down to ward 38. The walk down the hallway was a task and it was creepy as well. I almost felt like I was in a mental institution. It was just really strange and was quite different than the hospitals from home. They took blood samples and did a heart test. While there were doing this Brian showed up. Marieta had been texting him and before I went into the infirmary I called him and told him what was going on. I told him he didn’t have to come, but of course I knew he was going to because that is just the person that he is. When the lady was getting ready to do my heart test I kicked Brian out of the little curtain area, as I had to take off my shirt. We had a laugh about it, and the nurse asked me who he was and if we were together, Always love that question. After the nurse finished Brian came back in and we waited to see what was going on. They were quite concerned about my throat because my tonsils were enlarged, but they are huge in general. They basically just told me to drink some tea and honey or lemon and honey and if it does not get better by Monday to go back to the GP. When I left the infirmary I actually felt myself and had an appetite. AT this point I really had not eaten anything besides some spoonfuls of soup. Brian and I got some cheeseburgers and fries, which was probably a bad idea but I thought everything had passed, but I was wrong. After eating I went back upstairs to watch some more movies. I watched Night at the Museum 2 and Ice Age 3. After the movies I went to sleep because I started to get the chills. I woke up in the middle of the night burning up and very weak. I felt so sick. I called Marieta and she came up to stay with me. When I went to answer the door for her I almost passed out in the hallway, but the wall caught me. I felt like death and I had no idea what to do, so I did what any sick person would do. I called my mom. It was about 5am by me and about midnight at home. I got the answering machine and began to leave a crying message. My mom soon picked up and I just started crying even more on the phone with her. She soon got on skype so I could see her and we chatted for a while until I calmed down. Marieta had some medicine that she had taken over with her from Bulgaria, as her mom is a nurse. We skyped with her mom a whole bunch of times as well since she knew what would be best. After I got off skype with my mom I got some sleep. IT was hard at first as I was burning up and had the chills, but I eventually fell asleep.

Day 115

Last night I didn’t sleep well at all. I was hot and cold and all that jazz. I woke up around 11 and got ready as I had my first exam today at 1:30. I caught the bus to Headingly campus and got to the room I needed to be at. The exam was an hour and a half. Plus it was open book and multiple choice so it was not so bad at all. I wish my next exam would be the same, but no luck with that. After the exam I stopped by this art expo that was going on. It was pretty interesting. I took the bus back to my flat and just watched movies for the rest of the day as I felt like crap again. It was weird because during the test I felt fine, but when I got back to my room I felt horrible. I wound up watching Seven Pounds and I Love You Beth Cooper. After the movies I went to sleep.

Day 114

After I got dressed and was functioning I went downstairs to meet up with Marieta to go into town. She had to go to a couple of places before we went to the gym. I was not really feeling myself while we were walking around and by the time we got to the gym I felt like crap and not myself at all. I was ready to just leave and go back home, but Marieta said that sometimes working out helps you feel better as you sweat things out, so I gave it a try. It helped a bit, but I still felt like crap. After about twenty minutes I had to leave, so I got dressed and walked back to my flat. It was the slowest I have ever walked back. I just felt non functional. When I got to my flat I changed and crawled into bed. I slept for about three hours hoping that when I woke up I would feel better, but I still didn’t feel myself. I took a shower and then headed downstairs to have dinner with Marieta and Brian. That was a task because I have these cuts on the sides of my mouth that open up every time I eat, laugh or smile. I could barely open my mouth because I didn’t want them to re-open so I had to take little bits. After dinner I headed back upstairs to do s bit more revision. Brian and Marieta wanted to go to the Eldon for a drink, but I was not feeling up to it at all and I just told them to go without me, but of course they came knocking on my door and told me to get ready. The fresh air did me some good, but I was still not feeling myself.

Day 113

Today was a pretty simple day. After I got up I headed downstairs to meet up with Marieta and then go to the gym. After the gym I came back, showered, had a bit to eat and did some more revision. At around nine I stopped over to Pierre’s surprise party and then went over to the Eldon for one drink to take a break from revising. After all it was Tuesday. After that I headed back and got some sleep.

Day 112

After I got up, I got ready for the gym. After the gym I went to Morrisons for one last shopping trip. I came back put my groceries away and then had some lunch. After lunch I showered and then did some revision for my exam. While I was trying to revise I heard the Frenchies downstairs singing away in French and having a party as all their exams had finished. It was a bit hard to concentrate, as all I wanted to do was to join them, but I kept to revising. While I was cooking some chicken for dinner the fire alarm went off. Turns out that Pierre pulled. I guess they were having a bit too much fun. After dinner and a bit more revision I headed off to bed.

Day 111

Slept in again today. Watched more HIMYM and read some of the book I am reading. Brian and I went downstairs to have lunch with Marieta as she was having a rough day without her sister. After lunch Brian went back to his work, Marieta took a nap before she had to go to work and I went back upstairs to continue watching HIMYM. I also booked my flight to Amsterdam!!!!!! I am so excited! At around 10:30 Brian and I went over to the Eldon for a drink. We ran into a couple of the guys at the pub and they were all pretty drunk. We sat with them and had some laughs. Then I headed back to my room to read and surf the web as I have no more HIMYM left to watch. I finished all five seasons and it is kind of upsetting. Anyway, while I was surfing the web someone knocked on the door, but I just let Luke get it as I figured it was for him. It was Jamie and he came inside in an uproar and sobbing a bit. Then he left and I heard Luke go after him saying, "Jamie talk to me." I had no idea what was going on, but I figured it had to do with how drunk Jamie was. I heard them go downstairs and then I heard some doors slamming, and lots of yelling happening. Then there was a knock on the door about ten minutes later. It was Jamie still upset. He sat in front of Luke's room in the hallway as Luke was not in. I sat down and tried to find out what happened, but he just wanted to be left alone so I went back into my room. I heard him sobbing in the hallway and I had no idea what to do so I texted Luke to come back up. Luke came in and I asked if everything was ok and Luke said everything is ok. After Luke chatted with Jamie for a bit and then took him back down to his flat, Luke explained when he came back. It was just a drunken dispute between Jamie and Tom, but everything was ok. I was just concerned because I had no idea what happened, but everyone has drunken disputes. After that I headed to bed as tomorrow I was starting to revise for my exams.

Day 110

Slept until about two today. Then I ate something, showered and watched more HIMYM. Then at around ten I went over to my friends flat and we all hung out and drank a bit. When I was tired I headed back to my room and went to sleep. It was a lazy day.

Day 109

Fire alarm went off at it's normal time, but I am used to that by now. I was getting up early anyway since Marieta and myself were going in to town to do some shopping. It was nice spending time with Marieta and doing some shopping. We got free chocolate bars which was awesome. I also bought shoes for Kim, a shirt for Cheryl, a bathing suit and a skirt for myself. It was a successful shopping trip. It was funny because at one store Marieta got stuck in a shirt and I had to help her out of it. It was kind of a corset top, so it was a bit tricky. It was a good laugh though. One our way back we stopped at the library to print out vouchers for free entry to the club we were going to later. When we arrived back we had some lunch while skyping with Valentina and their Mom. After that I took a nap and then showered. Once dressed I headed downstairs to meet up with a couple of people since we were going out to TGIFriday's for dinner. It was Brian, Marieta, Julian, Emily, Amanda, and myself. We took a taxi over and got seated within ten minutes. Our waiter had this weird eye. His left eye pupil was really small compared to a normal one. He basically had a white eye with a dot of blue. It was really strange, but at the same time it did not affect how cute he was. He also had an adorable accent. We asked him later on where he was from. He was originally from Prague, but was doing his masters in Leeds and for the summer he was going to work at a TGIFriday's in Miami, Florida. He is very excited to go as he has never been to America before. He was really nice. After we did something that I never thought I would do anytime soon. We went to a CASINO! Yes, I went gambling at a casino. At first it didn't seem like it was going to happen because you had to be members to go inside, but it was free to join so of course we signed up. We also got a free ten pound voucher to use on black jack or roulette. I was so excited that I was going to be able to go into a casino. Once through the doors I saw all the flashing lights and heard all the sounds of the machines. It was very overwhelming and I had no idea where to go first. We decided to use our vouchers on the roulette table. The table we went to was empty except for this one guy on it. We all played and of course I lost. Some won. At the end of it Amanda wound up winning forty pounds with that ten pound voucher she got. I then watched as some were still playing. I was mainly watching that one guy who was shelling out twenty pound bills like they were singles. In the matter of the five minutes that I was watching the guy blew 300 pounds. I could not believe how fast you can lose so much money. I couldn't watch anymore so I decided to try a slot machine. All I wanted to do was pull the lever and watch it spin, but now you have to push a button on all of them. No fun. Anyway, I put a pound in one machine and was excited, but I had no idea how to play. It was so complicated with all the different symbols and everything so I just pushed the automatic start button and watched it spin and then it was over. My one pound was lost in a matter of seconds and I had one nothing. I could of spent the rest of the night there, but it was already 9:45 and we had to get ready to go out. Before we got the taxi I headed to the toilet. They were so cool because the seats had dice and cards put into them. It was like peeing on money, which is basically what everyone was doing out in the casino. Anyway, we got in the taxi and headed back to our rooms. I quickly got dressed and then met Marieta and Brian downstairs and headed off to Oceana. In order to get in free with our vouchers we had to get there before eleven. By the time we got there we had ten minutes to spare. We went up to the bar, got drinks and then relaxed and swapped stories until the place started to get busy. Downstairs they were playing the music that Marieta and myself enjoy and upstairs there were playing 80's music that Brian loves. So, we hung upstairs for a while. There was a bit of an older crowd there and a bunch of stag/hen parties going on. We actually made friends with some of the guys from the bachelor party and hung out with them the rest of the night. They had sock puppets and were quite funny. Once we had some alcohol in use we headed downstairs to do some dancing. At one point, some older woman came up to me asked me a question. I am pretty sure she asked if I was English, but at first I thought I heard her ask me if I was ignorant. Her friends were standing off to the side looking our way and whispering so I was a little skeptical as to why she came over to talk to us. I was not sure if she was trying to be friendly or is she was making fun of us. I will never know and that kind of bothers me. I really hope they were just curious as to where we were from. Whatever. At around 2:45 we called a taxi before it got busy. The place closed at three and we didn't want to have to wait forever for a taxi. Once back at our rooms, Brian wanted some garlic bread so I made put some in the oven. While we waited for it we watched an episode of HIMYM. Once the garlic bread was done we ate it and then Brian headed back to his flat to sleep. I changed and then headed to sleep myself. Overall it was a fun night!

Day 108

Today I got woken up by a leaf blower at nine. I had no idea why they were blowing leaves because it was wet outside. How do you blow leaves when they are wet? I tried to go back to sleep, but there was no hope so I had breakfast, watched HIMYM and then went downstairs to meet Marieta and go to the gym. After the gym we came back had lunch and then I showered. Marieta went to work and then I watched some more HIMYM and sorted out paperwork that I printed off at the library. I was supposed to go out with my mates, but I was just not in the mood to go out so I decided to stay in. I went over to see Brian for a bit and then we walked over to get pizza. Well actually Brian just came for the walk and I ordered pizza. We both got beer. I had a beer and ate pizza at Brian's and then headed back to my room because Brian had to get work done. I continued watching some more HIMYM and then went to bed.

Day 107

Slept until two today since I got in really late last night. When I got up, I heard the ice cream man. Let me tell you that the ice cream man music hear is much different than the one at home. Here is sounds like creepy horror movie ice cream music, with scary clowns. It is not a truck that I would want to buy ice cream from. Anyway, I then went downstairs to hang out with Marieta before she had to go to work. We had some lunch and then we both walked into town together. She parted for work and I went to the library to print more things off. After the library I headed to the gym. When I finished at the gym I walked back to my room to eat some food, shower and put some laundry in. Then I watched some more HIMYM. After a couple of episodes I headed over to Tom's flat and hung out with everyone over there for a bit. When I got back to my flat I skyped with my mom and then headed off to bed.

Day 106

Today I slept until about 11:30. I got ready and then headed downstairs as Marieta and myself were going to the gym together. We had a good workout. After that we came back and had some lunch. Then Marieta had to get ready for work, and I headed upstairs to shower and watch some more HIMYM. At around seven I met up with Steph and Chloe and we headed to the O2 Academy as tonight we were going to see Chase and Status live! It was different than every other time I went out with everyone because this was like an actually event. I had a blast! It was so much fun. Afterwards we walked back and then I headed over to the Eldon to meet up with everyone else. When the the bar was closing everyone was going to another bar called Burbon. I was planning on going to bed, but I decided to go out. I didn't get in until about five in the morning, but I didn't care. It was a fun night and I am glad I went out with everyone.

Day 105

Woke up around 5:45 to get dressed and meet up with the twins and Brian to take Valentina to the train station. We all said goodbye to her as she left to head back to Bulgaria to hopefully get her green card. When I got back to my room I hopped back into bed and went back to sleep for another couple of hours. When I got up I had some breakfast and then met up with Marieat. We went into town to get her some work clothes and then looked around in some shops before she had to go to work. After she left I stopped by Morrisons to pick up some things that I needed. I then walked back, had some lunch and then watched an episode of HIMYM. After that I headed back into town to go to the gym, but it was closed since it was a bank holiday today. I should have figured. Instead, I went to the library to print some things off and then headed back to my room to watch some more episodes of HIMYM. Later that night Brian and I headed down to see Marieta as today was the first day of work for her and the first day without her sister. She was upset, but she was holding in there. After that I headed upstairs to get some sleep.

Day 104

During the middle of the night I caught Marieta smiling in her sleep and then she stroked my arm and then that was it. I asked her in the morning what she dreamt about, but she said she didn't remember. I then told her what she did and she laughed.
We woke up around twelve with the twins. Brian left around ten to get some things done. Then I went upstairs and did nothing all day once again. It was another crappy day out. I watched HIMYM once again. Then I went downstairs to bake another cake. This time I was determined to get it right. Of course the measurements through me off, but I solved that with the Internet. It still didn't seem like cake batter mix so we decided we would try cookies. Of course the cookies tasted like cake, but it was a little better than last time. After that we made some dinner. Brian was on cooking duty and made us tacos. They were delicious. After that we watched a movie. The twins had never seen the whole Dark Night so we watched that. We were bored so we decided to go to the Eldon for one beer. This was going to be our last beer with Valentina as she is leaving tomorrow for Bulgaria. She is going back to do interviews and paperwork to hopefully get her green card! After we finished we all headed back to bed as we were all getting up early to see Valentina off.

Day 103

Today I slept in. It was amazing. It was another cloudy and chilly day out. I basically just stayed in and watched How I Met Your Mother. I skyped with my mom and grandparents as the family was over celebrating Cheryl's birthday. I later skyped with Aunt Maria, Uncle Mike and Richie. They told me how nice it was outside and Cheryl even went to the beach. Ugh! I am so jealous. Anyway, after that I went downstairs to hang out with Brian and the twins. We then decided to go to the Eldon for some drinks. It was really funny because some Irish guy came over and began chatting with Marieta. He was quite drunk. We told him politely to leave. Later when Marieta and Brian were getting drinks at the bar he came back and began chatting with Valentina. He realized we were not interested and asked Valentina if she wanted him to F off. She said yes please and then he flipped her the finger as her walked away. I don't understand why he did that because he was the one asking us if we wanted him to leave. Whatever. After that the twins started dancing and all the guys began to look. Of course I get embarrassed because I am not one to be the center of attention, but the twins don't care. And Brian just loves it because all the guys are envious that he is in the bar with three hot girls. Haha. It was a fun night and we had a lot of laughs. We then headed back and decided to have a slumber party together. For some odd reason I had an extra mattress in my flat so Brian helped me bring that down to the twins and we set it up. We then decided to watch a scary movie. It was called The Collector and was pretty good. After the movie we all snuggled in and fell asleep. Marieta and I on her bed and Brian and Valentina on the mattress on the floor. It was nice.

Day 102

Last night was AWESOME! Everyone had a blast, especially Brian. He was dancing and singing all night. By the end of the night my feet and my knee were killing me due to the fact that I was wearing heels. So, while we were waiting for the taxi I sat down at the bus stop. Next to me were two guys and two girls. I started talking to the guy next to me and he picked up on the fact that I was from New York. He liked my accent. lol We began talking about our nights. He shared with me that his friend was into that girl and of course the girl had a friend that he was supposed to entertain for his friend. I didn't mean to but I began to laugh. It was just funny because the guy talking to me was not interested in the friend what so ever. We laughed and chatted for the five minutes I was there. There was no awkward silence or anything. He was easy to talk to and it was just a nice moment. It was one of those moments that you will never forget. It will be a perfect moment forever. When the taxi I arrived we shook hands and said nice to meet you and then I left. I have no idea what is name is or where he studies and all he knows about me is that I am from New York. I will never see him again. It just makes me wonder why we meet certain. I mean I am never going to see him again, but it would be interesting to know why at that point and time I met this guy. Oh well.
Anyway, I woke up around noon today and looked back at all the pictures taken from last night. There was so many and they were all great. I received a text from Brian thanking me for last night as he said he had an awesome birthday and loved the place we went to. After that I finished watching the first season of How I Met Your Mother and then I got dressed and went to the gym. When I got back I showered, had dinner and then went downstairs to hang out with Brian and the twins. At around eleven I came up and got some sleep because I was exhausted from the past two nights.
